Frequently asked
Four groups, from your account to your data. Open a question to read its answer. Menbru is still being built, so the answers say what is decided, not what is finished.
No. You can browse without signing in: the Businesses and their public pages, public Offers and Events, Reviews, the editorial pages and this FAQ are all open.
You need an account to claim or redeem a Coupon, follow a Business, write a Review or open your Member dashboard.
An email address, your first and last name, a password and your agreement to the Terms. Nothing else is required to register.
After that, a few optional questions, such as where you come from, tune what you see first. You can skip every one of them.
Yes. Free Access is permanent. It lets you discover Businesses, Offers, Events and Common Coupons, and it includes:
No, not as a sign-in. There is one account per person, and becoming a Partner does not create a second one. A Partner Account is attached to your Member account, with you as its Partner Holder, and everything on your Member side stays as it is.
An Offer is a promotion a Business announces. A Coupon is a promotion that can also be claimed and redeemed on Menbru. An Event is a dated activity of its own, which can stand alone or be linked to an Offer or a Coupon.
Events are information: registering, booking or buying a ticket happens on the Business's own channel, not on Menbru.
They are levels of access, not kinds of content. Common is open to every Member. Premium shows a teaser to everyone, but claiming a Premium Coupon needs an entitlement that covers it; Free Access covers one Premium opportunity each calendar month.
Premium is about the benefit. Content a Business pays to make more visible is labelled Sponsored, which is a separate thing.
A Common Claim stays active for up to 24 hours and a Premium Claim for up to 48 hours, counted from the moment the Claim is confirmed, on the server's clock rather than your device's. If the Coupon itself ends sooner, that earlier end wins, and a Business can set a shorter window for its Coupon, shown before you claim.
A Claim that runs out unused is marked expired and stays in your history. Letting it expire does not use up your monthly quota; dismissing it yourself does.
At the Business. You show the Coupon from your Wallet and the Business, or someone it has authorised, scans its QR code. The server checks the Claim, the Coupon, the Business and the time, and a Claim can be redeemed only once.
The code is single-use and short-lived, so a screenshot does not give a second use. Redeeming needs a connection, and typing the code by hand is for when the QR cannot be read.
No. A Claim belongs to the Member who made it, with no exception. Its code is single-use, short-lived and checked on the server, so a screenshot of it lets nobody else redeem it.
No. A Claim is not a purchase, a booking, a ticket or a unit of stock. Menbru keeps no inventory and no real-time availability for any Business; it only controls how many Claims a Coupon allows.
No. Menbru is not a marketplace, a checkout or a point of sale, and it does not process payments between Members and Businesses. Anything you buy is settled with the Business, through its own channels.
The business. A Partner Account has no public profile of its own; the public profile belongs to the approved Business.
Any Member can apply, from their own account. A Business is public only once Menbru has approved it: automatic checks run first, then a person at Menbru reviews who the representative is, their authority to register the business and the documents provided.
Nobody can approve their own application, and every decision is recorded with who made it and why.
A Partner Account has one Partner Holder: the verified person who holds it and answers for it. It is a person, not a role that can be handed out or shared.
A collaborator is invited, by email, to act on one Business, with roles such as Manager, Publisher, Coupon redeemer or Analyst. Collaborators never own the Partner Account, cannot change who holds it, and can do only what their permissions allow.
No. A Business can read the Reviews on its profile, reply once to each and report one that breaks the rules. It cannot delete, edit or hide a valid Review; removing one is a moderation decision for Menbru, and it leaves an audit trail.
The only personal detail a Business sees is your first name, and only at the moment you redeem a Coupon. It does not see your last name, email, phone, address, Wallet or history, or what you do at other Businesses.
Menbru does not share individual behaviour or personal data for a Partner's marketing. The statistics a Business receives are aggregates, not people.
This is not open yet. It is decided to work from your own account: you download a copy of your data yourself, and ask for a correction or for deletion; each request is handled as a case, and Menbru checks your identity in proportion to the risk.
Menbru's published target is to answer privacy requests within 30 days, unless the law sets a different period.
You cannot delete your account yet. This is how it is decided to work.
Deleting an account is not instant. When you ask, your access is revoked and a 30-day window starts; the only screen you can reach is the one that lets you cancel the request, which restores your account as it was.
After 30 days your personal data is deleted. Records that must be kept, such as those needed for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, audits, payments, Redemptions or disputes, are kept in anonymised form.
